Instead of just accepting the fact that Georges St-Pierre used his mug as a focus mitt at UFC 124 in December, Josh Koscheck has decided to take the well-travelled path of excuse making over the high road of admitting he got his ass handed to him that night.
In a recent interview with MMAJunkie, Koscheck said that the first punch he took in the bout was the one that basically won St-Pierre the fight.
"Georges beat me fair and square that night. He was the better fighter, but I think that the first punch of the fight was when I broke my eye. So I thought that it was definitely bad luck on my behalf. That’s life. He threw the punch, and it was a good punch. I definitely think the fight would have been a lot different if that wasn’t the case."
