Almost a year ago today, Artem Lobov was involved in a heated altercation with Khabib Nurmagomedov in Brooklyn, N.Y., which saw “The Eagle” grab “The Russian Hammer” by the back of the neck.
See it again here.
That prompted Conor McGregor — Lobov’s friend and training partner — to hop on a private jet from Ireland all the way to Brooklyn to get at Khabib. What resulted was chaos, as “Notorious” hurled a dolly at a bus full of fighters.
And the rest, as they, is history.
Earlier today, (Tues., April 2, 2019), Lobov was once again involved in a physical altercation, this time with ex-boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi, who slapped the former UFC featherweight during a face-to-face confrontation (video).
This time around, however, Conor won’t be making the trip to New York for retaliation — at least not yet. Instead, Conor took to social media to post a series of what I can only assume are never-before seen pictures of him clipping Paulie during their now-infamous sparring sessions.
Here are a few:

And there is plenty more where that came from.
Much was made about Paulie and Conor’s battle, with Conor claiming he knocked Malignaggi down cleanly (evidence here) and got the best of the overall exchanges, while Paulie says it was also blown out of proportion. Since then, the two sides have been embroiled in a bitter back-and-forth dispute.
Paulie has been tried to convince “Notorious” to take him on in a real boxing match, but the fiery Irishman has shown littler interest.
Instead, Lobov and the former boxing champion could very well find themselves swinging bare knuckles at one another under the Bare Knuckle FC banner this June; assuming Artem gets a win over Jason Knight this Saturday night (April 6, 2019) in Biloxi, Miss.
