“Smilin” just keeps winning …
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter, Sam Alvey, scored another title defense in the main event of Karate Combat 48 last night (Thurs., July 25, 2024), stopping fellow UFC veteran, Antonio Arroyo, in the fourth round via technical knockout.
The fight was competitive until the third round, when Alvey took over as Arroyo gassed out. Indeed, in the fourth frame, Alvey slammed his opponent twice and then battered him on the ground until the referee jumped in.

After the fight, Alvey hopped on the microphone during his post-fight interview and called out controversial social media personality, Andrew Tate, for a fight that will never happen, as well as former UFC Middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold, who won his Karate Combat debut when he slept Joe Schilling in the first round (watch highlights).
Alvey promised to drop Rockhold within two rounds.

Alvey, 38, has found nothing but success since being released from UFC in 2022 … especially in Karate Combat. He is currently 3-0-1 in the promotion with two knockouts and currently holds the Heavyweight championship.
