History has been made.
In general, the undercard of Bellator events — even large ones — are filled up with local fighters who are able to sell tickets to family and friends. It’s generally an opportunity to experience a larger card for such fighters, but overall it’s like having a smaller regional event attached to the more high-profile fights.
Most of the time, these undercard fighters appear once in their home state, and that’s it.
Aviv Gozali (3-0) was given such an opportunity, and “The King” capitalized. Immediately, he lunged after his opponent Eduard Muravitsky (9-9) with an Imanari roll, successfully entangling himself in the legs of his foe. Muravitsky attempted to spin to safety, but he only wound up deeper in the entanglement and was forced to submit to a heel after just 11 seconds of combat.
It’s a short night for Gozali, one that may earn him a callback to Bellator. If nothing else, it’s an easy night of work for the Israeli Lightweight!
