Kim asked for the business and he got it, with Inoue landing another blistering TKO win to bring his record to 29-0.

As expected, Naoya Inoue didn’t just beat his opponent Ye Joon Kim in Japan, he dominated him en route to a 4th round TKO.

The multiple weightclass boxing champion Inoue was a -5000 favorite against +1700 Ye Joon Kim, who was hoping to take the undisputed junior featherweight title off him. But you don’t become a unified champion in two weightclasses by being easy to beat.

Inoue didn’t lose a single round against Kim. It’d be hard to argue he lost a single second. He thrilled the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan with a masterful performance, taking a moment to size up his opponent in the opening moments of the bout before taking the fight to Kim for the time it lasted.

The end came halfway through the fourth as Inoue backed Kim against the ropes. Kim gamely signaled for Inoue to step in and fight twice, and Inoue obliged him, pummeling him into the corner and dropping him with a quick jab to the nose / stiff right hand to the jaw that had Kim down to the canvas on all fours.

As fun as it was to see Naoya Inoue wreck someone, here’s hoping his next bout is more meaningful. There are already talks that Inoue will fight in the United States next against WBC mandatory challenger Alan Picasso. We’d expect to see odds in Inoue’s favor again, but perhaps in the -500 range instead of -5000.

For now let’s look at the highlights:
