It wasn’t easy, but Rodrigo Nascimento got the job done against Alan Baudot in the opening fight of UFC Vegas 31, earning a technical knockout stoppage halfway through the second round.
Baudot made things interesting in the first round, throwing with violent intentions from all positions and testing Nascimento’s chin on the feet and on the ground. But when the second round started, Nascimento turned the fight around and used crisp technical striking to push Baudot up against the cage. Baudot had no answer but to cover up, and referee Chris Tognoni stepped in at 1:29 of round two for a technical knockout win.
