Michael Page made his long-awaited return to action earlier tonight (Fri., May 7, 2021) at Bellator 258, and he did not disappoint. After a somewhat tentative start from both men, “Venom” tagged Derek Anderson with a high kick that came out of nowhere dropping him down to the canvas.
Upon letting him up, it was clear as day that “The Barbaric’s” nose was broken. Still, Anderson kept on fighting to end the round. During the break, the ringside doctor’s decided that Anderson simply could not continue with his nose a mess, giving “Venom” the first round technical knockout (TKO) win.
Afterward, Page expressed his desire for a rematch against current Bellator Welterweight champion, Douglas Lima, who handed “Venom” the first loss of his career. For now, Lima is lined up to defend his strap at Bellator 261 on June 11.
