Making your mixed martial arts (MMA) is an exciting thing to experience for any young fighter, but Isaiah Hokit, I’m sure, would like to forget his. During tonight’s (Fri., June 25, 2021) Bellator 261 event, Hokit was stepping foot inside a professional MMA cage for the first time against Corey Samuels.
And it lasted all of 10 seconds.
The two men met in the center of the cage. During their first quick exchange, Samuels blasted Hokit with a nasty left hand that dropped him like a sack of potatoes. From there, Samuels — who goes by the nickname of “Lightning Wolf” — pounced on his fallen foe and dropped a few hammer fists to force a lightning-quick stoppage.
With the win, Samuels — who was also making his Bellator MMA debut — moves to 3-2 in his pro MMA career while Hokit will have to go back to the drawing board and hope his second MMA fight goes a bit smoother.
