Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight sluggers Robert Whittaker and Ikram Aliskerov went to war earlier tonight (Sat. June 22, 2024) live on ABC inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In a stellar performance, Whittaker stopped his opponent inside a couple minutes.
Both men were willing to fight at distance. Aliskerov aimed to land some kicks, whereas Whittaker was sliding forward behind his jab. A couple landed, then Whittaker switched it up with a HEAVY right hand over the top that landed perfectly. Aliskerov hit the floor and popped back up, but the Australian was in destroy mode.
Whittaker tried to follow up with a high kick that just missed. As Aliskerov backed into the fence, Whittaker swarmed him with power shots, including a brutal uppercut that again sent Aliskerov to the floor. Whittaker wanted the walk-off finish, but instead a few more punches sealed the deal.

“Bobby Knuckles” racked up his first knockout win since 2017 and proved himself a class above his opposition here. Against a dangerous and rising star, Whittaker demonstrated his skill. He’s still at the very top of his game, and he should be considered an immediate title contender after such a vicious knockout. He’s now won two in a row, and he really is as good as any Middleweight on the roster.
