Jamahal Hill and Ovince Saint Preux faced off in a Light Heavyweight clash tonight (Sat., Dec. 5, 2020) at UFC Vegas 16 from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In an excellent performance, Hill stopped his foe in the second round.
Saint Preux began the fight with a low kick. Hill landed a couple counter shots and a body punch. “OSP” landed a side kick, ate a left hand. Hill stuck Saint Preux with a stiff right hook then went back to the body shot. Hill ripped two body shots to counter a low kick. Another clean body shot counter from Hill. Two! That left hand to the bread basket cannot miss. Heavy low kick scored by Saint Preux, and he immediately landed another. Hill returned the favor then punched the belly. Saint Preux touched the calf, took a left hand counter to the jaw. Hill cracked his foe with a lead hook, leading to a clinch attempt from Saint Preux. “OSP” briefly threatened the guillotine, then the two split apart and traded body kicks. The first round closed with an exchange.
Saint Preux opened the second by again trading a low kick for a left hand. Saint Preux landed a clean jab. Hill punched the body then brought the cross high. Another lead cross connected to the jaw. Saint Preux dug a low kick. Body shot scored for Hill, then a partial high kick. Saint Preux landed another hard low kick, and they were really starting to add up. Big overhand scored for Hill, and he followed it up with a heavy flurry along the fence that stunned Saint Preux! Hill punches the mid-section then followed up with a clean right hook to the jaw. Hill ripped a knee to the body, and Saint Preux was really wobbly along the fence. Hill kept the pressure on, firing punches-in-bunches until the referee stepped in to save the veteran.
Jamahal Hill is one talented Light Heavyweight! The young talent fought through some heavy low kicks to land more consistent power punches, and once he hurt “OSP,” he pushed hard for the finish.
Result: Jamahal Hill defeats Ovince Saint Preux via second-round knockout
