No notice? No problem!

UFC welterweight fan favorite, Kevin Holland, is willing to replace the ailing Ian Garry and fight Vicente Luque at the upcoming UFC 296 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for this Sat. night (Dec. 16, 2023) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Here is the deal,” Holland wrote on social media. “I checked with both my wife and my girlfriend, and they said I can fight this weekend.”

Garry has been the butt of several jokes over the last few weeks, thanks to some comments from high-profile UFC fighters like reigning middleweight champion Sean Strickland, and it appears the outspoken Holland will not be taking the high road anytime soon.

But if he’s serious about fighting Luque, “Silent Assassin” will be waiting.

“So guys I saw that Kevin Holland wants to jump in to substitute for the fight Saturday night and I want to tell you guys I’m down,” Luque told his Instagram followers. “So Kevin, if you’re really down to come here, let’s do this. Let’s mix it up. Let’s get in that Octagon and go to war and hey, I’m willing to do 180, so we can do it at 180 and let’s put on a show for all the crowd.”

Holland would still need to get through medicals and make weight which means he needs to be in transit as of this writing, since the official weigh ins go down in less than 24 hours at the promotion’s APEX facility just outside of “Sin City.”

Tick tock, tick tock.
