Holloway responds to McGregor’s interim champ diss: Stop deleting your tweets

Max Holloway tells Conor McGregor to stop deleting his tweets.

Conor McGregor seems to be taking a page out of Jon Jones’ book, as the Irishman is developing somewhat of a habit of deleting his posts just moments after posting them on social media.

The latest deleted tweet from the Irishman came in the form of an insult to reigning featherweight king Max Holloway, who McGregor referred to as the ‘interim’ featherweight champion following ‘Blessed’s’ one-sided loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 236.

“Maybe ‘interim champ champ’ was just a step to far – Interim FW champ,” McGregor posted, then later deleted, on Twitter last Saturday morning.

Holloway, who has defended his featherweight title twice since capturing the belt in 2017, soon got news of McGregor’s deleted tweet and followed up with a tweet of his own — only this one will be staying online for all to see.

“I’ll leave this right here. Don’t delete your tweets my bratha. I can take it. #keepthatsameenergy,” Holloway responded.

McGregor also took a pop at Jose Aldo following the Brazilian’s decision loss to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 237 but predictably deleted the tweet just moments later. ‘The Notorious’ is expected to return to the UFC this summer, although no date or opponent has been announced.

As for Holloway, the 27-year-old is currently recovering from his loss to Dustin Poirier and is expected to return to featherweight to defend his title later this year.
