Stern fed up with anti-vaxxers, ‘Stay home, die there with your COVID’

Howard Stern has never been shy about offering his opinion. That’s one reason Stern, who is reportedly worth $650 million, could ink a five-year extension with SiriusXM earlier this year that is reportedly worth between $100-$120 million a year. Considering Stern works three days a week, he earns at least $1 million per show.

On Monday, Stern focused his ire on Joe Rogan, he of the “gross” $100 million-plus Spotify podcasting deal. Stern’s issue was Rogan’s reported use of Ivermectin to treat COVID-19.

“I heard Joe Rogan was saying, ‘what are you busting my balls?’ Stern said (via The Daily Beast) on his radio show, ‘I took horse dewormer and a doctor gave it to me.’ Well, a doctor would also give you a vaccine, so why take horse dewormer?”

Stern was reacting to the fact Rogan said he took Ivermectin as part of his treatment plan for COVID-19. After he made that statement, Rogan threatened to sue CNN.

“Bro, do I have to sue CNN?” he said. “They’re making shit up! They keep saying I’m taking horse dewormer. I literally got it from a doctor. It’s an American company. They won the Nobel Prize in 2015 for use in human beings and CNN is saying I’m taking horse dewormer. They must know that’s a lie.”

According to the FDA’s website:

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.

Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.

Taking large doses of ivermectin is dangerous.

If your health care provider writes you an ivermectin prescription, fill it through a legitimate source such as a pharmacy, and take it exactly as prescribed.

Never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans. Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans is dangerous.

As for Rogan’s claim that the drug won the Nobel Prize for human use. That’s true, but the prize was awarded to William C. Campbell and Satoshi ?mura for discovering that Ivermectin and drugs like it had “extraordinary efficacy against parasitic diseases,” which COVID-19 is not.

Stern had more blunt words for those who refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine later in his show.

“We have no time for idiots in this country anymore, we don’t want you. Stay home, die there with your COVID. Don’t take the cure, but don’t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Stay home, don’t bother with science, it’s too late. Go fuck yourself, we just don’t have time for you.”
