According to Hunt, all documents from his lengthy RICO case against the UFC and Lesnar will be unsealed on May 8th.

Mark Hunt is hoping a new filing in his long and contentious RICO case against the UFC will finally earn him a win against the promotion he feels screwed him back at UFC 200 in 2016.

Hunt fought Brock Lesnar at that event, losing a relatively uneventful fight to the pro wrestler and former UFC heavyweight champion via unanimous decision. That loss was later declared a No Contest after Lesnar failed multiple drug tests for Clomiphene and Clomiphene metabolites.

“The Super Samoan” would go on to file a RICO lawsuit against the UFC which basically claimed the company knew Lesnar was on performance enhancing drugs and still allowed him to compete at UFC 200. The lawsuit included multiple charges including battery, fraud, conspiracy to commit crime related to racketeering, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, negligence and unjust enrichment.

Hunt’s lawsuit would prove unsuccessful, and in the end he was ordered to pay over $375,000 for the UFC’s legal fees. But the K-1 and PRIDE FC star believes he has one more ace up his sleeve: the unsealing of all the documents from his case, including texts and emails from UFC executives and Brock Lesnar.

“When u are called by the almighty u better grab that cross because only god knows where u are going,” Hunt wrote in a series of tweets that included ‘Intent to Unseal’ filings with the Ninth Circuit court of appeals. “May 8th is the unsealing for u dumbass little thief Dana White et al., and all those involved in the civil RICO contraventions. Here is my filing for the unsealing.”

Hunt’s legal request cites Lesnar’s involvement in the Vince McMahon sex scandal, prior disclosures from the Le vs. Zuffa anti-trust case, and ‘over seven years of public denigration of the plaintiff by White and internet trolls’ as justification to unseal the case documents.

Will all of the discovery and documentation from Mark Hunt’s case end up being unsealed on May 8th as Hunt hopes? Thus far the UFC has beaten Hunt in court nearly every step of the way, to the point where Hunt has accused them of paying off his legal team. He repeated that accusation in his latest series of tweets.

“U might of paid my former lawyers off but u are not going to pay off the ninth circuit u dirtbags Dana White et al,” Hunt wrote.

We’ll keep you updated as Hunt’s May 8th unsealing date approaches.
