Following a disappointing loss in Austin, Texas, ‘King’ is letting his fans (and other lightweight fighters) know he isn’t done yet.

Bobby Green lost a rough one to Jalin Turner at UFC Austin on Saturday night, getting taken out early in the first round of their last-minute replacement bout. Not only did he get finished early in the fight, the ref was late to save him. Turner was forced to unleash a barrage of punches on an already done “King” before the official stepped in (watch the highlights here).

There was a lot of concern over Green’s health, but he appears to be fine in a new video uploaded to his Instagram Stories.

“Wuddup guys … you win some, you lose some, I guess,” a chilled out Green said. “I just want to show people that you got to keep it ‘G’ when you win, and you got to keep it ‘G’ when you lose. Shout out to Jalin. You did your thing, brother, I’m so happy for you. It means the world that you stepped up on short notice and you’re having your success. So shout out to you.”

“To all my people: it’s just another step in the thang,” he continued. “Another step in the career. There are ups, there are downs. I’mma keep it going. I ain’t going nowhere. I’ll be back.”

The 37-year-old Green has been fighting professionally since 2008 and has amassed a 31-15-1 record (12-10-1 UFC). He’d come into UFC Austin on a two fight win streak: a submission win over Tony Ferguson and a KO win over Grant Dawson. Unfortunately, he ran into a hungry Jalin Turner, who was on a two fight losing streak — both razor close split decision losses to Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker.

While this loss may have stopped Green from clawing his way up the lightweight rankings, he seems to be a favorite of UFC matchmakers these days. They’re always happy to place him in the middle to top of a fight night card, and we’re always happy to watch him scrap. It’s win / win, really. Even if “King” ends up losing.
