Arman Tsarukyan was happy with the result of the ultra-violent UFC Austin co-main event.

Tsarukyan got UFC main event redemption last night at UFC Austin (Sat., Dec. 2, 2023) when he slept No. 4 ranked Lightweight Beneil Dariush in 64 seconds with nasty ground and pound from inside Moody Center in Austin, Texas (watch highlights). With the big win, “Akhalkalakets” should enter the top five in the Top 15 Lightweight rankings next week.

While Tsarukyan was warming up for his main event showdown, he had his eyes peeled on the co-main event between Jalin Turner and Bobby Green because of some extracurricular fight week activities that took place this week (read all about it here and here).

Tsarukyan was overjoyed with the result of the fight (Green got knocked out).

“I was super, super happy when his head was bumping on the canvas,” Tsarukyan told the media during the UFC Austin post-fight press conference (watch here).

The 27-year-old explained his side of the story of what happened between Green and himself.

“It was just he was talking sh-t about me. I just came and asked him, ‘bro, like, don’t talk sh-t about me because where I’m from you can’t just talk, you have to answer your words,” Tsarukyan said. “So that’s what I just wanted to tell him, don’t talk sh-t about me because if you’re gonna talk sh-t, we gotta meet and talk. So he pushed me, and I pushed him. That’s it. Done. And hopefully, I’m not gonna see him again in my life.”

With a potential Green vs. Tsarukyan matchup off the table now, the drama seems to be over.

Tsarukyan is riding a three-fight win streak and is on the cusp of a No. 1 contender fight or even a title fight.
