One day after losing an opponent, Joey Beltran has a new foe.
The San Diego-based slugger known as “The Mexicutioner” was originally slated to meet Australian Anthony Perosh at UFC on FX 6 on Dec. 14 in Gold Coast, Australia. But Perosh had to pull out of the fight after suffering a gruesome broken toe in training.
Instead, Beltran will face Igor Pokrajac. The UFC announced the news Tuesday via Twitter.
Beltran is 14-8 in his career and 4-5 in the UFC. His most recent fight was a unanimous-decision loss in a brawl against James Te Huna on July 11, which earned Fight of the Night honors.
Pokrajac, meanwhile, is 29-5 overall and 4-4 in the UFC. The Croatian light heavyweight’s most recent bout was submission loss to Vinny Magalhaes at UFC 152.
