Carlos Condit picked up his first win since 2015 last night (Sat., Oct. 3, 2020) at UFC Fight Island 4 after outgunning Court McGee to earn a unanimous decision. The victory snapped “The Natural Born Killer’s” five-fight losing streak and prompted fellow Welterweight scrapper, Matt Brown, to call him out.

“Immortal” posted the challenge on social media immediately after Condit scored his huge win and rearranged McGee’s nose, stating that once he’s back to full health it’s high time the two sluggers take care of their unfinished business. Not one to sit idle, Condit fired back during the post-fight presser (see it here).

“No not necessarily,” responded Condit when asked if he’d be hesitant to accept the fight seeing as how it’s been booked and scrapped twice before. “Just bubble wrap that dude up so we make it to the fucking fight.”

The two men were originally set to collide at UFC on FOX 9 way back in 2013 before Brown was forced to withdraw from the bout with a back injury. Five years later, the promotion booked them to fight at UFC on FOX 29, but “Immortal” once again bowed out of the contest after tearing his ACL.

Brown’s last outing inside the Octagon didn’t pan out as well as it did for Condit, as he was knocked out by Miguel Baeza in the very first round at UFC on ESPN 8 this past May (video replay here), snapping his two-fight win streak.

The fighters are up for it, and the UFC matchmakers should be too. The real question is, do you want to see it?
