Press Release – (Mumbai Wednesday 10th October 2012) Following on from the huge success of Super Fight League (SFL) 1, 2 and 3, India’s only pro MMA organisation is proud to launch the first edition of Friday Night Fight Nights on October 12th live and free to air to fans around the world from 9pm India time on dedicated SFL YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/sfl.

*** Friday Night Fight Night: SFL 4 ***

A legitimate sports league, SFL will now host weekly MMA events from their new bespoke TV studio arena home in Mumbai, in front of a selected VIP audience.

The launch of Friday Night Fight Nights has come following months of SFL investment in Indian MMA. SFL scouts have travelled across India to find the best wrestlers, kick-boxers and martial-artists, gathering together the cream of the crop of Indian fighting talent. These fighters are then taken to the SFL fighting finishing school training centre in Nashik where their skills are honed. Now, after months of preparation, a new generation of Indian fighters are ready to be unleashed upon the MMA world starting this Friday 12th October.

SFL COO Dan Isaac said: ‘I’m excited to introduce all our new Indian, NRI and international signings to MMA fans worldwide at Friday Fight Nights, this is going be old school MMA at its very best, it’s stand up vs ground, wrestling vs kickboxing , karate vs boxing and these guys will be swinging for the fences so watch out – Indian MMA is moving forward at lightning speed!’

Headlining the SFL 4 will be Canadian-Indian Kultar Singh Gill, India’s most decorated and experienced mixed-martial artist. Having fought across the world Gill was ecstatic about making his SFL debut in May and showed this by winning his fight via a 50 second knockout. His opponent will be Amr Wahman of Egypt, widely regarded as one of Africa’s premier MMA stars.

Kultar Singh said: ´I am never in boring fights and my next fight will be no different. Come Friday October 12th it will be shin-to-face time. I will go in looking to take my opponents soul. I am proud to be back fighting in my motherland and after my last fight I hope India knows what to expect. The Mamba is back in India!´

Amr Wahman said: ‘It is my first time in India and I am happy to fight there. I really like the people and the fans will like me. SFL is making a big noise in Asia and is becoming a strong organisation, producing many good fighters – both male and female. As a fighter I like to use my kick-boxing but I am well schooled in all the arts of MMA. I will take this fight by KO in the first round.’

The SFL remain dedicated to promoting female MMA and are proud to welcome back Serbia’s Sanja Sucevic. With one SFL win already to her name, Sanja is fresh from her role as the female coach on the hit reality TV show SFL Challengers. Facing her will be Spanish grappling sensation, 19 year old Irene Cabello.

Sanja Sucevic said: ´Raj Kundra has given me a huge opportunity with SFL and I am very grateful for it. I hope to show India and the world of MMA how much I love this sport. I know my opponent is young and a good boxer but I hope to finish her on the ground.´

There is an air of excitement surrounding SFL 4 with 10 fighters making their pro debuts. Of the debutants, most familiar will be Irfan Khan, the 19 year old SFL Challengers contestant that was involved in a spectacular war with Rajinder Singh on the TV show.

*** New SFL Fantasy MMA Game ***

SFL are also pleased to announce the launch of a new SFL Fantasy MMA Game: http://superfightleague.com/mmagame/

The SFL MMA Fantasy game is a simple game that fans can play each week predicting the outcome of every fight. With scores being tracked on a leader board, players will win weekly prizes for accurate predictions and the player with the most points will win a bumper jackpot prize at the end of the year. Each week, players simply choose who they think will win each fight and if the correct winner is selected, players can earn points for choosing the correct method of victory and finishing round.
