Former UFC champion Germaine de Randamie will no longer fight Irene Aldana at UFC 268.

Former UFC Women’s Featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie vs. Irene Aldana is a no-go for UFC 268.

De Randamie (10-4) was pulled from her fight against Aldana (13-6) after suffering an undisclosed injury, according to ESPN Deportes. Their fight was scheduled for the UFC’s big event inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on Sat., Nov. 6 airing via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).

GDR (No. 1) has not competed since earning a third-round technical submission against Julianna Pena on Oct. 4, 2020. Boasting a 7-2 record in the UFC, her only two promotional losses are to reigning two-division champion Amanda Nunes. De Randamie’s hitlist includes Pena, Aspen Ladd, Raquel Pennington, Holly Holmand Larissa Pacheco, among others.

Aldana (No. 4) has won three of her last four fives, most recently coming off a first-round technical knockout win over Yana Kunitskaya at UFC 264 on July 10. She has a 6-4 record in the UFC with notable wins over Kunitskaya, Ketlen Vieira and Bethe Correia.

UFC 268 is headlined by Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington 2, a rematch for the UFC Welterweight title. The co-main event features a UFC Women’s Strawweight title fight pitting Rose Namajunas vs. Zhang Weili for the second time. Other notable bouts include Justin Gaethje vs. Michael Chandler, Sean Strickland vs. Luke Rockhold, and Frankie Edgar vs. Marlon Vera.
