Just how much damage can Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino inflict in 46 seconds? Apparently enough to set an opponent back six months, as Charmaine Tweet learned on Friday night at Invicta FC 11.
Tweet suffered a broken nose during her brutal first-round loss at the hands of “Cyborg” in Invicta FC 11’s main event, and as a result, she has been placed on 180-day medical suspension by the California State Athletic Commission, according to information released by the commission and first reported by Sherdog.com.
In addition to Tweet, strawweight co-headliner Mizuki Inoue received a similarly lengthy 180-day medical suspension after sustaining a myriad of injuries during her electric unanimous decision loss to Alexa Grasso.
Inoue’s reported injuries include a cut to her left ear, a broken nose, a left eye contusion, and forehead swelling.
Invicta FC 11 took place Feb. 27 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Calif. The event aired lived on UFC Fight Pass.
