UFC Abu Dhabi now has an official poster.

Fan reactions were mixed, with some Twitter commenters calling it a “weird” attempt to “look like the intro to a sitcom,” while others thought it reflected the “handsome headshots” of its fight night participants.

Haters want UFC to “fire the poster department.”

UFC

UFC Abu Dhabi takes place on Sat., Aug. 3, 2024 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, with Top 10-ranked bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov battling for a spot in the 135-pound title chase.

The winner could face Sean O’Malley (or Merab Dvalishvili) at some point in 2025.

“The fans really, really want to see me and O’Malley fight,” Sandhagen told MMAmania.com. “That’s something they’ve been asking for, for a really long time. I’m gonna go out and do my part and win this fight. I want O’Malley to go out and do his part and win his fight. That way the championship fight can be one of the more highly anticipated MMA striking matches that so many of the fans are already really, really intrigued in. Just the fact that we can do it on the championship level and scale, I think would make just a huge fight.”
