As we inch closer to the UFC 242 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place this Sat. (Sept. 7, 2019) on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the promotion is cranking out its final pre-fight obligations, which means buckets of swag for both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier, who will unify the titles in their five-round lightweight main event.
“The Diamond” got hooked up with his own pinky ring, like a Louisianan godfather, along with his own stylized fleur-de-lis, that French royalty symbol used on the football helmets of the New Orleans Saints, though I’d say there was nothing royal about last year’s loss to the Rams amirite?!?
Also featured in Episode 3 of “Embedded” was the lightweight co-main event between Paul Felder and Edson Barboza. “The Irish Dragon” looks to avenge his 2015 loss to the Brazilian striker in what proved to be “Fight of the Night” at UFC on FOX 16.
