A Heavyweight fight between Marcin Tybura and Blagoy Ivanov — which was set to go down at UFC 260 on March 27 — has been scratched after it was reported that Ivanov suffered an injury during training.
Ivanov was looking to snap his two-fight skid, while Tybura would’ve had the opportunity to build on his momentum after winning four in a row, including his most recent knockout win over Greg Hardy last December (see it here).
On the bright side. the promotion has over a month to find a suitable replacement. And with a lot of action going down in the Heavyweight division over the last few weeks — and at this weekend’s (Sat., Feb. 27) UFC Vegas 20 event — there should be no issues finding a willing man to step in and fill the void.
UFC 260 is also set to feature another big man bangfest with Stipe Miocic defending his Heavyweight crown against Francis Ngannou. In the co-main event, Alexader Volkanovski will put his Featherweight title on the line against Brian Ortega.
