Longtime UFC middleweight contender Ronaldo Souza (26-8, 1 NC) is looking to make his Octagon return after getting sidelined by COVID-19 and already has his sights set on a couple of rematches as he quickly approaches his 41st birthday.
Though one may be a bit more realistic than the other.
“I’d like revenge against Kelvin Gastelum or Robert Whittaker,” Souza told Sherdog (transcribed by Adam Martin). “I believe that fight’s going to be good for me, but I believe it’s not going to happen. My body’s good. I believe that I can fight for three years.”
Souza lost a split decision to Gastelum at the UFC 224 pay-per-view (PPV) event but was finished by Whittaker at UFC on FOX 24 the year before. Working in “Jacare’s” favor is the fact that Gastelum has also lost four of his last six and is no longer ranked in the Top 5.
Easy matchmaking as far as I’m concerned.
