Imagine a grain of salt…

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones surrendered his 205-pound title earlier this year in order to stay home and work on bulking up for his heavyweight debut, which fans have been hearing about since 2012.

Time to shit or get off the pot.

But since “Bones” has plenty of cash on hand, he can take his sweet time to pack on the pounds while reigning 265-pound titleholder Stipe Miocic rematches heavyweight power puncher and No. 1-ranked contender Francis Ngannou at some point in March.

What about that Israel Adesanya super fight?

“Outside of a gigantic payday, he does nothing for me,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “Anderson (Silva) was the man to beat in that weight class, not him. The next biggest legacy move for me is Stipe and I want all the smoke. Fighting guys like Jan and Izzy does nothing for my legacy, winning the Heavyweight belt is the only thing that can bring me any higher than I already am.”

Jones, 33, currently weighs 240 pounds and expects to make his heavyweight debut “in the next few months” and one thing is for certain, if “Bones” can move up in weight and capture the crown from Stipe Miocic, he’s likely to reclaim the top pound-for-pound spot he recently lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
