Jake Paul wants to avenge his brother, Logan, Paul, in a professional boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.
Floyd Mayweather vs. Jake Paul in a professional boxing match might be a reality if the YouTuber-turned-boxer gets his way.
Paul (4-0) has laid down the challenge to Mayweather (50-0), under the condition the two meet in a professional boxing match. Paul is coming off a split decision win over former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight titleholder Tyron Woodley (watch highlights); meanwhile, Mayweather out-performed Jake’s older brother Logan Paul (highlights here) in an eight-round exhibition.
“I don’t do exhibitions, I told Floyd, I actually messaged him and I said ‘Yo, if you want to do a real pro fight at a weight class, then let’s do it,” Jake told talkSPORT. “But I think he’s going to retire and that’s probably what’s best for him because my brother is a great fighter, but I’m just built different.
“I would have take Floyd out and that wouldn’t be good for him,” he added.
Mayweather has not competed in a pro boxing match since defeating former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor by technical knockout (TKO) in round 10. Since then, however, he has fought exhibition bouts against all-star Japanese boxer Tenshin Nasukawa and the older Paul brother.
