Jake Paul continues to troll former UFC champ Conor McGregor.

Jake Paul is set to take on Tyron Woodley in the boxing ring on August 29. There the ‘Problem Child’ will be hoping to take his pro record to 3-0. He got here with wins over Ali Eson Gib, Nate Robinson and Ben Askren (all 0-0 at the time).

During the last year Paul has been extremely outspoken over where he sees himself in the sport of boxing and who he thinks he may one day be able to defeat. Famously Paul opined that he could see himself besting the consensus pound for pound best boxer on the planet in Canelo Alvarez.

Paul has also named plenty of UFC fighters who he’d like to fight in the boxing ring. Earlier this year former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor was a hot topic of conversation with the younger Paul brother. However, since McGregor’s most recent loss to Dustin Poirier, Paul has changed his tune.

Now Paul seems content with mercilessly trolling ‘Notorious’ with stunts such as his ‘Sleepy McGregor’ chain.

Paul spoke with MMA Junkie recently and took the opportunity to share more thoughts about McGregor. Specifically Paul addressed McGregor’s escalating antics online, which include threatening to murder the Poirier family and mocking Khabib Nurmagomedov over the death of his father.

“Look, he’s this guy that was the shit for so long and the center of attention, and now his career has plummeted,” said Paul. “He’s falling off. He’s 1-3 in five years and it seems as if people don’t really care. He’s disrespectful. Even to the point where it’s too far. There’s a point in this where it’s like, ‘Cool, yeah. It’s the fight game. I said what I said. Get over it.’ Talk as much shit as you want. But there’s a point where you look dumb.”

“It’s not even that he’s being disrespectful, he just looks dumb with the shit that he’s saying,” continued Paul. “Threatening to kill people and then he’s out partying, back to drinking, hitting the clubs in L.A. I don’t know, man. I think it’s over for him and I don’t think his ego can maybe accept that.”

Paul then told MMA Junkie that any desire he had for fighting McGregor has ebbed away. Instead, he said, he’d rather take on one of the Irishman’s rivals.

“I think Nate Diaz versus Jake Paul fight is probably more interesting than a Jake Paul vs. drunk Conor McGregor fight.”
