Jake Paul warned Myles Garrett not to get in the ring.
Tomorrow night Jake Paul looks to go 4-0 in his pro boxing career. To do that he’ll need to beat former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Woodley is the second MMA fighter to go toe-to-toe with Paul, before that he took on NBA player Nate Robinson.
Recently Paul fired back at NFL player Myles Garrett, after Garrett claimed he would beat the brakes off of his older brother Logan Paul in the boxing ring.
Paul told the 3 Things to Know podcast that he was confident Logan, who has an 0-1 boxing record and recently fought Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition, would knock Garrett out.
“Stick to football, my friend,” said Paul (per TMZ). “I like Myles. I have nothing against him, he’s an amazing player. But you saw what happened when Nate Robinson from the NBA tried to step into the ring. People don’t realize it’s a whole different sport.”
Paul also said that Garrett’s large frame (he’s 6’ 4” and 272 lbs) wouldn’t be an issue for his big brother.
“My brother sparred against all of the Gronkowski brothers, who are 6’5”, 6’6”, 6’7” and he took them all down in the same sparring session. People don’t realize this is a sport where time and experience is really the only thing that gets you better. So long story short, my brother would knock him out, no question. But nothing against Myles.”
Garrett is currently a tight end for the Cleveland Browns. A two-time Pro Bowl selection Garrett is most remembered for a violent incident that took place against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.
In that game Garrett pulled the helmet off of Mason Rudolph and then clubbed him over the head with it. Garrett would later claim that he did this after Rudolph used a racial slur. Garrett received an indefinite suspension for that incident and missed the remainder of the 2019 season. He was reinstated for the beginning of the 2020 season.
