Conor McGregor may be occupied with Dustin Poirier later tonight (Sat. July 10, 2021) at UFC 264 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the man has a whole bevy of potential foes already gunning for him afterward (like Rafael dos Anjos!).

One of the most committed would-be foes is Jake Paul, who has been targeting “Notorious” since just about the inception of his boxing career. Though Paul is scheduled for a big step up in competition vs. Tyron Woodley (details here), the YouTube star has remained on the offensive in several other feuds, quite recently going after UFC President, Dana White, on fighter pay issues, as well as frequently mocking McGregor online.

After the pre-fight press conference (watch it) and some of its more awkward moments, Paul posted that McGregor has lost his “it” factor.

Mean tweets are one thing, but how about a six-figure investment solely to talk s—t? Paul is proving the depths of both his bank roll and pettiness with his latest creation: the sleepy McGregor chain, which features a diamond-studded recreation of McGregor’s knockout lose pose from Jan. 2021.

… and a bottle of Nyquil for good measure. Bear witness to its hideous glory below:

For what it’s worth, McGregor did not fully close off the potential of fighting either Paul brother in the future in an interview earlier in the week. I don’t know that an expensive chain is the most effective insult possible, but it’s certainly one way to garner attention and hype.
