Jake Paul commissioned a pendant commemorating the moment Conor McGregor was KO’d by Dustin Poirier.
Jake Paul’s trolling has no bounds (or budget) apparently. The 3-0 pro boxer who gained fame and fortune through YouTube has commissioned a $100,000 chain that shows UFC superstar Conor McGregor knocked out and holding a bottle of NyQuil.
Check out video and pictures of the piece below:
McGregor’s pose may look familiar. The artisan who created this piece used an image of McGregor, slumped over after defeat to Dustin Poirier in January, as a reference.
Paul teased this item was coming yesterday, during a tweet in which he slammed McGregor for his pre-fight antics in the lead up to tonight’s UFC 264. Those antics included kicking out at Poirier during the press conference and insinuating that Poirier’s wife was making some sort of advance at him.
In that tweet Paul said that McGregor, a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, had lost ‘it’ and was spewing trash talk purely to hype himself up. Paul also charged McGregor with ‘bathing in his own insecurity’.
McGregor has been a popular target for Paul, who has chipped away at ‘The Notorious’ ever since coming to prevalence in the world of combat sports. Paul is currently basking in the glory of KOing Ben Askren earlier this year.
His next fight will be against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in August.
McGregor is yet to fully bite and acknowledge Paul. However, should things not go his way tonight, don’t be surprised if the Irishman starts eyeing the influencer for his next big payday.
