Mixed martial arts fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller live-tweeted an apparent standoff with members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at his California home on Thursday.
Law enforcement officials attempted to serve Miller a bench warrant for his arrest “for alleged stalking at the home when the situation escalated into a SWAT call,” Lt. Jeff Hallock told KTLA. A warrant is currently out for Miller’s arrest on three felony counts, including the aforementioned charge for alleged stalking, with Miller to be held on $200,000 bail.
Hallock stated that police were called to the scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Miller (28-9, 1 NC), a 33-year-old retired UFC veteran, published a slew of ominous tweets throughout the afternoon, alluding to the apparent standoff taking place outside his residence.
Representatives of the Orange County Sheriff Department did not immediately respond to inquiries made by MMAFighting.com.
Miller has twice run into trouble with law enforcement in recent years. In 2012, the fighter was arrested on burglary charges after allegedly breaking into and vandalizing a church. Those charges were later dropped, although one year later Miller was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.
