Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos may venture into boxing soon.

At 37 years of age, Junior Dos Santos is about to enter a new chapter of his prizefighting career. On Tuesday, it was revealed through social media that the former UFC heavyweight champion is now part of S-Jam Boxing, a “boutique management agency” based in the UK.

With this new development, “Cigano” expects to be granted the opportunity to test his skills against today’s top heavyweights. He’s already namedropped three of them and he’s confident he’ll come out on top.

“Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury. I really believe at some point, it’s gonna happen. I’m gonna have a big fight against one of these guys and I’ll beat them up.”

Since his UFC release in March, Dos Santos has been speaking about boxing as a “passion” he plans to pursue. Here’s what he said in an interview at the time.

“I’m taking some time to analyze this situation and choose my next step with certainty. I have offers. From boxing, too, which is my passion. Of course that it needs to be interesting for all parties, but I think it would be amazing if it ends up being viable.

“It would be pretty cool. I’ve always wanted to do that. When I focus solely on boxing, I do pretty well. I love the noble art.”

Dos Santos last fought at UFC 256 in December against Ciryl Gane and lost via second-round TKO to compile a four-fight losing streak.
