UFC lightweight Jeremy Stephens remains incarcerated after his Friday arrest in Minneapolis. But his management company is standing by the fighter.
Stephens was arrested Friday, the day he was to fight Yves Edwards at UFC on FX 5. Despite efforts to get him released, including by the UFC, he was not out in time to fight – and the Hennepin (Minn.) County corrections site still lists Stephens as being held.
Stephens was arrested by the Minneapolis Police Department hours before UFC on FX 5 for warrants stemming from a 2011 incident in Iowa for which the fighter was charged with assault.
