Lightweights Jim Miller and Dustin Poirier are set to battle at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York.
UFC lightweight veteran Jim Miller had tweeted on Thursday that his next fight was lined up, and Joe Silva’s response was certainly a classic.

We now know who and when Miller will be fighting. Newsday’s Mark Lamonica reported that Miller will take on Dustin Poirier at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York. The night’s main card airs live exclusively on pay-per-view.
Miller (28-8, 1 NC) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Thiago Alves at UFC 205, a fight which he took on short notice in place of Al Iaquinta. After a loss to Diego Sanchez at UFC 196, the New Jersey native has won three straight, including a 1st round TKO of Takanori Gomi at UFC 200, followed by a thrilling split decision over Jim Miller at UFC on FOX 21.
Poirier (20-5) saw his four-fight winning streak come to a violent end at the hands of Michael Johnson, who KO’d him in September’s UFC Hidalgo main event. “The Diamond” had been on a tear since returning to lightweight, most notably besting Joseph Duffy by unanimous decision at UFC 195, then knocking out Bobby Green at UFC 199. Poirier has never lost consecutive fights in his entire career.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11th at the Barclays Center, and features a women’s featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
