A light heavyweight rematch you never knew you wanted has been booked for UFC London.
If you enjoyed the April 2015 bout between Jimi Manuwa and Jan Blachowicz, the good news is that the the UFC is going to run that fight again. The promotion announced on Thursday that the Manuwa-Blachowicz rematch will happen at UFC Fight Night: London on March 10th. UFC Fight Pass will stream the entire event.
When Manuwa first took on Blachowicz back at UFC Krakow in Poland, he won by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27), as Blachowicz failed to get the Brit to the ground as he so desired. It was nevertheless a clear-cut win for Manuwa.
In more recent times, Manuwa is coming off a quick KO defeat to Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 214, whereas Blachowicz is on a two-fight winning streak, having stopped Devin Clark and taken a decision over Jared Cannonier. The current UFC rankings have Manuwa at #4, while Poland’s Blachowicz is #12.
No main event has been announced for UFC London, although it’s expected that Michael Bisping’s retirement bout will be on this card.
