Newly-hired UFC analyst Jimmy Smith will be making his color commentary debut at UFC 221 this February.
In late December, color commentator Jimmy Smith announced his departure from Bellator as its long-time analyst. A few weeks later, it was revealed that he would be joining the UFC broadcast team.
Smith made his first appearance as a UFC analyst for UFC 220 last weekend in Boston, joining Rashad Evans and Karyn Bryant on the desk at the FOX Sports studios. On Thursday, he revealed that he will be making his cage-side color commentary debut alongside Jon Anik for the upcoming UFC 221 event in Perth, Australia.
The 40-year-old Smith made the official announcement through Twitter.

Smith has been lauded by many for his overall work as a color commentator, which makes him a welcome addition to the UFC cage-side analyst team, alongside the likes of Joe Rogan, Dominick Cruz, Daniel Cormier, Dan Hardy, and Paul Felder.
UFC 221 is slated to take place on February 10th (February 11th in Australia) and will be headlined by the interim middleweight title fight between Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold.
