A featherweight bout between Jimy Hettes and Mike Wilkinson is expected to be added to UFC Fight Night 30 on Oct. 26 in Manchester, England, according to sources close to the event. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.
Hettes (10-1) suffered the first loss of his career last September when he dropped a unanimous decision to Marcus Brimage at UFC 152. He was scheduled to fight Steven Siler in April at UFC 159, but he pulled out of the fight due to a knee injury suffered in training. The 26-year-old Hettes recently joined the AMA Fight Club in New Jersey and is being trained by Mike Constantino.
England’s own Wilkinson (8-1), 25, also recently suffered the first loss of his career when he was submitted by Rony Jason at UFC on FUEL TV 10 in June.
The event, headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Mark Munoz, will take place at the Manchester Evening News Arena, and the main card will air on FOX Sports 2, which is what FUEL TV will become on Aug. 17.
