John Howard will meet Siyar Bahadurzada on Dec. 28 in Las Vegas, the UFC announced on Friday. The promotion has yet to determine whether the fight will air on the free prelims or the pay-per-view.
Howard (21-8) was victorious in his return to the UFC in August following a two-year hiatus from the organization. The Boston-native defeated Uriah Hall via split decision in his hometown at UFC Fight Night 26.
Bahadurzada (21-5-1) will look to get back on track following a unanimous decision loss to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC on FUEL TV 8 in March. The loss dropped his Octagon record to 1-1 overall.
The event, co-headlined by Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva 2 and Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate 2, will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
