Bantamweights John Lineker and Rob Font will meet once again, this time at UFC Greenville.
Two of bantamweight’s most dangerous knockout artists will have a second go at each other in Greenville, South Carolina.
Wednesday afternoon, the UFC confirmed that John Lineker has accepted a short notice bout to take on Rob Font once again at UFC Fight Night 154, replacing Font’s original opponent, Cody Stamann.

Bloody Elbow has since learned through Stamann’s manager, Jason House, that Cody suffered a shoulder injury and his timetable for a return is unknown.
Lineker (31-9) emerged victorious in the first encounter between the pair, back in May 2016, defeating Font by way of unanimous decision. Most recently, however, ‘Hands of Stone’ suffered a split decision loss to Cory Sandhagen in April. The result snapped a two-fight winning streak for the Brazilian, who had wins over Marlon Vera and Brian Kelleher prior to the bout.
Alternating wins and losses for the past couple of years, Rob Font (16-4) will try to break the pattern and follow up on a unanimous decision win over Sergio Pettis, back in December 2018. Before the victory, however, the 31-year-old was bested via unanimous decision by Raphael Assuncao.
UFC Greenville takes place on June 22nd and will be headlined by a featherweight bout between former title challenger Chan Sung Jung and contender Renato Moicano.
