Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing an interesting lightweight battle to its upcoming UFC Fight Night 162 mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card on ESPN+, scheduled for Oct. 26, 2019 inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Michael Johnson vs. Stevie Ray.

Johnson (19-14) abandoned the lightweight class in the wake of his technical knockout loss to Justin Gaethje back in summer 2017, despite holding a place in the Top 10 of his division. Unfortunately, “The Menace” only managed a 2-2 record at 145 pounds and was last seen getting planted by Josh Emmett.

As for Ray (22-9), he’s also looking to get back into the win column after going to sleep against Leonardo Santos at UFC Stockholm back in June. After jumping out to three straight victories under the UFC banner, “Braveheart” has fallen to 3-4 inside the Octagon and needs to get something going sooner, rather than later.

UFC Singapore will be headlined by the welterweight battle pitting Ben Askren opposite Demian Maia. Elsewhere on the card, Sergei Pavlovich and Maurice Greene collide in heavyweight action while Ciryl Gane vs. Don’Tale Mayes also throw down at 265 pounds.

Expect more UFC Singapore fight card announcements in the coming weeks.
