Former UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson will compete for the ONE flyweight belt.

Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will fight Adriano Moraes for the ONE Championship flyweight title on April 11th (per MMA Fighting). The fight will be Johnson’s fourth for the promotion since he was ‘traded’ to ONE in 2018.

After joining the company Johnson competed in the ONE Championship Flyweight Grand-Prix. He won that tournament by choking out Yuya Wakamatsu and decisioning Tatsumitsu Wada and Danny Kingad. Those victories took Johnson’s pro record to 30-3-1.

The 33-year-old Johnson came to ONE after losing his flyweight title in a bout with Henry Cejudo at UFC 227 in August 2018. Prior to that split decision defeat Johnson enjoyed a 14-fight undefeated streak that earned him the UFC’s inaugural flyweight belt and recognition as one of the greatest fighters in the sport.

Current ONE Championship flyweight champion Adriano Moraes (18-3) won the title after defeating Geje Eustaquio in January 2019. That bout was an instant rematch after Eustaquio defeated Moraes via split decision in mid-2018.

Prior to those bouts with Eustaquio the Moraes defended his title versus Danny Kingad. The 30-year-old Brazilian also held the interim flyweight title between 2016 and 2018.

Moraes vs. Johnson is booked for ONE FC: Reign of Dynasties, which will take place in Chongqing, China.
