Jon Fitch will look to get back on the winning track next month.

The former UFC welterweight contender will meet Marcelo Alfaya at WSOF 6 on Oct. 26 in Florida, WSOF executive vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed with MMAFighting.com. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the 170-pound bout.

Fitch (24-6-1, 1 NC) lost via technical submission to Josh Burkman in his WSOF debut in June. The 41-second loss was his second in a row, marking the first losing streak of his career.

Alfaya (15-6, 1 NC), nicknamed “Grilo,” will be making his WSOF debut against Fitch. The American Top Team/Team Nogueira member has won his last three fights in a row. He most notably lost via 42-second knockout to Jake Ellenberger at a Bellator event in 2009.
WSOF 6, headlined by Josh Burkman vs. Steve Carl for the inaugural WSOF welterweight title, will take place at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla. The Fitch-Alfaya fight will be a part of the NBCSN-broadcast main card.
