Jon Jones is willing to grant Thiago Santos an immediate rematch.
Jon Jones recently edged out a split decision win over Thiago Santos at UFC 239 to defend his light heavyweight title but, despite Santos being ‘Bone’s’ toughest challenge to date, there’s been little to no buzz over an immediate rematch.
The lack of interest likely stems from the fact that, although UFC 239 was Jones’ toughest title defense to date, it was also the most boring title fight in recent memory, with neither Jones nor Santos committing to a finish at any point throughout the contest.
With that said, Jones is open to a rematch with Santos after the Brazilian slugger recovers from injury.
Remember God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers. Life is all about perspective. Use this time wisely, I have no doubt you will. Handle this adversity with your head high, never know who you’re inspiring. God Speed https://t.co/WvtHkrzeDx

“I think that’s only fair,” Jones said of a rematch with Santos.
Although Jones is willing to run it back with ‘Marreta’, there’s more demand to see the reigning light heavyweight champion move up in weight to take on Daniel Cormier at heavyweight.
Former UFC middleweight champion turned commentator and podcast host Michael Bisping believes a trilogy bout between Jones and Cormier would ‘do well over a million pay-per-view buys’ and be hyped as one of the biggest fights in UFC history.
Before there’s any serious talk about that matchup, however, Cormier must defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 241. The highly anticipated PPV takes place on Aug. 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
