Israel Adesanya is still getting some criticism for his performance against Yoel Romero at UFC 248, which saw him leave T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with a unanimous decision win and his middleweight title (see it again here).

This time, he’s feeling it from his nemesis, Jon Jones. “Bones” took to social media to answer a question regarding his thoughts on the title fight. And of course, Jones was none too pleased, though he was a man of short words when expressing his thoughts.

“Yoel is almost 10 years older than me and almost won that fight,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “Without using his wrestling. That’s all I’ll say.”

Jones and Adesanya have been going at each other on social media for well over a year now, though a fight between the two champions doesn’t seem to be in the immediate future despite the fact that “Bones” has pretty much cleared out the light heavyweight division.

Of course, Adesanya barely earned his first title defense, so moving up to face the longtime 205-pound champ seems a bit premature. Perhaps that’s why “The Last Stylebender” put a date of mid 2021 for a possible collision between the two.

Jones, meanwhile, was last seen defeating Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 via unanimous decision (see it again here), earning him his eleventh title defense.
