“Who wants to take that L?”
Over the last 11 years, Jon Jones has been a dominant force in the UFC. Drug test failures and felony charges aside, “Bones” has been able to defend the light heavyweight title against every elite-level challenger thrown at him.
Throughout his unparalleled run at 205-pounds, Jones had also been talking about a possible stint at heavyweight. In December, he once again teased about a jump in weight class and a supposed fight against Stipe Miocic. According to him, facing the current champion would be an “easy win,” should his plans push through.
Talks of Jones’ possible move have died down as of late, until Tuesday, when he went on Twitter. The 32-year-old fighter now says he would first want to take a 220-pound “exhibition fight” as some sort of practice run before officially making the transition.
I’d love to have an exhibition fight at the catchweight of 220lbs before moving up to heavyweight. Who wants to take that L?

Jones last competed in February at UFC 247 against Dominick Reyes. He won via unanimous decision, marking his third successful title defense since winning it back in December 2018.
