Jordan Mein is finally ready to return to the Octagon.
According to Mein’s father, Lee, Jordan is eyeing UFC on FOX 11 on April 19 in Orlando to make his return. He said the UFC approached them with a fight Wednesday morning, but they had yet to agree to it.
Mein (27-9) hasn’t fought since April 20, 2013 when he lost via second-round TKO to Matt Brown. According to his father, Mein suffered a broken orbital bone 30 seconds into the fight. He later tore his medial collateral ligament in training, which further delayed his return.
However, Lee Mein says his son is all healed up and currently helping him train for his upcoming fight. Yes, the 46-year-old Lee Mein (6-12) is still fighting and scheduled to fight former UFC fighter Tim Hague at a WSOF Canada event on Feb. 21 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Prior to his comeback fight, Jordan will help Tyron Woodley prepare for his UFC 171 fight against Carlos Condit, his father said.
The 24-year-old Mein (27-9) is 1-1 in the UFC.
