A pair of veteran welterweights in need of a victory will collide at UFC 184.
With both fighters looking to snap three-fight losing streaks, Josh Koscheck and Jake Ellenberger will meet on Feb. 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Daily News broke news of the fight Tuesday.
Koshceck (19-8) has been with the company since the inaugural season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” While his career peaked in 2010, when he challenged Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title, he’s been knocked out in each of his past two fights, against Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley. This will mark Koscheck’s first Octagon appearance since Nov. 2103.
Ellenberger (29-9), meanwhile, has been a mainstay of the UFC’s 170-pound weight class since 2009. He’s 8-5 in the UFC, but is also trying to stop a three-fight skid. He dropped his last fight, at UFC 180, to Kelvin Gastelum via first-round submission.
