Charles Jourdain’s post-fight bonus led him to a major life upgrade.
Canadian featherweight fighter Charles Jourdain was entering UFC Busan holding a loss from his Octagon debut in May. He did bounce back big time when he fought hometown favorite Doo Ho Choi on Saturday night, notching a second-round TKO win.
The two fighters put on a show, exchanging hard punches and flying knees. But in the end, it was Jourdain who had his hand raised.
During his Octagon interview, the 24-year-old fighter wanted one thing: a post-fight bonus that would get him out of his current living situation he was apparently not too satisfied about.
“Uncle Dana, that was a big performance on my part,” Jourdain said on the mic. “I would love that $50K bonus to move out of my parents’ basement. Thank you.”

Jourdain did get his wish, as he and Choi received $50,000 apiece for Fight of the Night honors. He currently holds a record of 10-2 (all wins ended by stoppage).
