The UFC is placing Greg Hardy on another ESPN television show, this time against Juan Adams.

Juan Adams is no fan of Greg Hardy, and just about two months from now, he’ll be fighting him inside the Octagon.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported on Wednesday that Adams vs. Hardy is close to being finalized for the UFC’s first show in San Antonio, Texas in nearly five years. The night’s main card airs live on ESPN.

Adams (5-1) will look to bounce back from the first loss of his young career, as he’s a few weeks removed from a decision defeat to Arjan Bhullar. After he was signed off of Dana White’s Contender Series, the 27-year-old Adams won his UFC debut last December when he TKO’d Chris de la Rocha in the third round. All five of Adams’ wins have come by knockout.

Hardy (4-1) is a disgraced former NFL player who’s very presence in the UFC is controversial given his noted domestic violence past. He made his first UFC appearance in January, losing by disqualification to Allen Crowder after throwing an illegal knee to Crowder’s head while he was down. At last month’s UFC Fort Lauderdale card, Hardy stopped a totally unconvincing Dmitrii Smoliakov by first-round TKO in a performance that left Dana White trashing Smoliakov.

Adams has made his distaste for Hardy well known, so this is going to be billed as a grudge match and likely promoted heavily on ESPN platforms.

UFC San Antonio takes place on July 20th at the AT&T Center. While several bouts have been made official, are still awaiting word on what the main event will be.
